Women being the pillars of the family, health awareness on heart diseases to them will be rewarding the entire community. We have started this event with an intent to identify women ambassadors in the community to create awareness and promote health in all families.
Educating women will benefit the family & the society as a whole. This event focuses on women who could be ambassadors for health for their family and the community at large. Heart disease is on the increase in women also. Tamil Nadu tops the list of obese women in South India. Newer risk factors are emerging for heart diseases and PCOS is one among them. So, women need to be educated on these emerging risk factors.
In 2022, Dr. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU and Smt. Vanitha Mohan, Chairman, Pricol Limited graced the occasion as chief guests. Sri. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & SONS’ Charities presided over the event. There was an overwhelming response with around 1000 women participants. Winners were awarded with cash prizes. Women above 60 years who participated in the event were honoured.

Kindly collect the kit on 22 Sep 2023 and 23 Sep 2023 at PSG Hosptial - B Ground between 10 AM to 4 PM. Please report to the ground at 5:30 AM with your BIB. BIB is mandatory for the run. In case of emergency while you run, please call : 98940 97730 Make sure that you report to the registration team after you finish your run at Ground B to receive your medal Please take care of your belongings. Water points are available at multiple points. You can carry your own water bottle if you wish.
If you are facing any discomfort, please stop the run immediately and report to the volunteers.
Hydrate yourself. Sleep early before the event. You can take a banana one hour before your run.
If you are a diabetic a) Please keep glucose along with you b) You can avoid your tablet in the morning c) If you are taking insulin, you can reduce the dose by 50% the night before.
Kindly do not participate in the run, if you are unwell.
We are commencing this event with a clear purpose to recognize and empower women ambassadors within our community, who will play a pivotal role in fostering awareness and promoting health and well-being in all families
