33rd Graduation Ceremony of PSG IMSR

The PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PSG IMS&R), Coimbatore, held its 33rd Graduation Ceremony for the 2020 batch of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral students on 29th October 2025. Dr. Girish Raj, Dean, MES Academy of Medical Sciences, Kerala, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and conferred degrees upon the graduating students. Dr. Subba Rao, Principal, delivered the welcome address, while L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons’ Charities, presided over the event. In his address, the Chief Guest emphasised the importance of lifelong learning, ethical practice, and empathy in the medical profession. The Oath of Hippocrates was administered by Dr. Tolstoy, Professor of General Medicine, followed by the Charge to the New Graduates delivered by Dr. J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director, PSG Super Speciality Hospitals. At the event, Academic Excellence Awards and Gold Medals were also conferred upon the top-performing students in academics. The GRG Memorial Gold Medal for the Best All-Round Graduate was awarded to Dr. Sri Lakshmi Nair, while the GV Memorial Gold Medal for the Best Outgoing Graduate was presented to Dr. Sarvajit V. Narayan. Dr. Sarvajit V. Narayan, represented the graduating batch and expressed gratitude towards the faculty, parents, and the institution. Dr. Sumitra, Vice Principal – Academic Affairs, proposed the vote of thanks. The ceremony witnessed the presence of the heads of PSG Institutions, faculty members, parents, and well-wishers.
