PSG Hospitals and Abott Nutrition conduct a Nutrition Stewardship Program

psg hospitals PSG Hospitals conducted a Nutrition Stewardship Program in association with Abott Nutrition at PSG Hospitals today. The program was aimed at sensitising the importance of Nutrition for patients especially those when they are hospitalised and the proper care that needs to be given in terms of food and nutrition.
Mrs. Kavitha, Chief Dietitian and Co Lead, Dept of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, PSG Hospitals welcomed the gathering. Dr J S Bhuvaneswaran, Director, PSG Super Speciality Hospital presided over the event and gave the presidential address.
The event had a primer by Abott Nutrition on Nutrition Stewardship which was followed by a session on Nutrition for Malnutrition, Assess, Monitor and Intervene by Dr. K Balu, Sr. Consultant, Dept of Surgical Gastroenterology, Head, Dept of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics, PSG Super Specialty Hospitals.
This was followed by a session on Importance of Nutrition in Hospitalised Patients by Dr, L Venkatakrishnan, Prof & Head, Dept of Medical Gastroenterology, PSG Super Specialty Hospitals.
