PSG Hospitals celebrated World Kidney Day

World Kidney Day was celebrated at PSG Hospitals on Saturday. The Chief Guest was District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati. He released a Guide book for Kidney Protection compiled by the Department of Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation Unit. In his address, Kranthi Kumar Pati stressed the importance of changing lifestyle habits. Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee presided over the event. Dr. Bhuvaneswaran, Director, of PSG Super Specialty Hospitals, and Dr. Vasanth from the Nephrology Department, addressed the event. Dr. Venu, Head of the Nephrology Department spoke on the theme of the year with some nice anecdotes drawn from folk stories. The event had counseling sessions and schemes available / planning on the financials with respect to insurance / medical emergencies etc.
